Northern Ghana will always be sacred to me—not just because of the landscapes or the culture, but because it was the beginning.

In 2017, I asked for a birthday gift that raised eyebrows: a trip to Northern Ghana. Not a handbag. Not a dinner. A trip. Because for someone like me—whose love language is thoughtful, intentional gifts—the right trip felt more personal than anything wrapped in ribbon. I had never been up north, and something about the idea lit a fire in me.

So, I researched, planned, and created a 4-day itinerary all by myself. From cultural sites to natural wonders, I soaked it all in. And when I posted pictures and videos online, the response was overwhelming—everyone wanted to know how I’d done it.

That trip changed something in me. And when I casually asked later that year, “Who wants to come to the beach with me?” I was stunned at how many people showed up. That moment planted the seed for what would eventually become Chariot Experiences.

Going back now feels like honoring the spark that started this journey. I want others to see the richness of the North, the strength of its culture, and the quiet kind of beauty that doesn’t beg to be noticed—it just is.
