In 2017, Janice E. Darko set off on a journey that would quietly shape a bold new chapter in her life. A birthday gift—a four-day tour of northern Ghana—sparked not only a love for travel but a deeper calling: to help others experience the same joy, freedom, and connection that travel had offered her.
What began as sharing trip highlights on social media quickly evolved. A single beach day invitation turned into a group of 20 excited travelers. A weekend getaway in Sogakope with nine women solidified her instinct that something special was unfolding. Over the next few years, Janice led curated group trips across Ghana and Togo, all while dreaming of expanded itineraries—including Benin—before the pandemic pressed pause.
Now, with Chariot Experiences officially born, Janice returns to the helm with a broader vision: to curate immersive, soul-stirring experiences that welcome everyone. Whether through travel, books, food, or fine wine, Chariot is a celebration of culture, curiosity, and connection.
With a 19-year career spanning event planning, project management, oil marketing, business development, IT, and strategy, Janice brings a sharp, experienced eye to every detail. She blends structure with spontaneity, luxury with local charm, and passion with purpose.
